Pattern surrounds us. Spiderwebs on a frosty morning show off the fractals in nature, complex and mesmerising. The rugged mountain tops dip and dive across our eye-line, intimidating and delicate. It is natural therefore that the outline of our environment is etched upon our eyelids. For brief seconds to sedate pauses, we can recreate the wonder of shape, colour and pattern when our eyes are closed. The Kaleidoscope Collection has been inspired by the dance of shapes and patterns that cross our imagination when we do just that.

Sometimes in nature, there is no order, only chaos. Glitch is inspired by the pattern of chaos, its design focussed upon lines colliding and transversing. Using 100% New wool, the Glitch scarf was woven entirely by hand and carefully hand-finished here in my Cumbrian studio. Its reversible pattern enables it to be a piece that is practical yet stylish.
