Without light, we would have no understanding of colour. Cipher represents the rays of light that cut across the landscape and our vision, to reveal colour, shape, and pattern. The piece was woven entirely by hand using a mixture of Merino lambswool and New wool to create a luxurious texture, and carefully hand-finished here in my Cumbrian studio.
This design uses the double cloth technique, its reversible nature creating extra thickness and protection against the natural world without any compromise on style.
